Vamos Expeditions

Vamos Expeditions is a Peruvian tour operator that offers a wide range of nature, adventure and cultural tours throughout the Peru, Bolivia and Latin-America, with a focus on sustainable tourism, education and conservation. The company is run by a Belgian-Peruvian family and offers tailor-made itineraries designed to match each traveller or group’s personal interest, style and preferences.  Vamos Expeditions takes people on overland trips deep into national parks and conservation areas at the coast, Andes and Amazon that are otherwise rarely visited, with first-class drivers and guides, outstanding service and reliability.  Vamos Expeditions works hand in hand with native indigenous communities in tourism, conservation and social projects and involves clients with these projects. Vamos Expeditions is a licensed operator of multiple-day hiking adventures on the Inca Trail network to Machu Picchu and beyond and has pioneered trail cleaning initiatives in which all visitors are encouraged to participate.

Our company offers educational service-learning projects and opportunities for which we work hand in hand with indigenous communities and local NGO’s. Projects vary on the needs of the communities and NGO’s and are carefully talked over, planned and followed up to make sure they have the right impact for the people they are meant to be. In the past we have been active in building an eating kitchen for 100 Andean children to eat with dignity in their school, a nursery in a community at over 4000m altitude, in planting trees in the Amazon, in local eco-tourism/community-based tourism projects for communities and several other projects that promote conservation of local nature and culture in which the communities were involved and received new ways of sustainable income.

We have most experience in the protected areas of our home country, Peru but we have also taken many people to protected areas in neighbouring countries and areas, such as Bolivia, Ecuador & Galapagos, Brazil, Patagonia, Costa Rica and Mexico.
