LT&C’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) and workshop in Ramberg, Lofoten, Norway @ Lofoten | Nordland | Norway

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) for 2019 is planned to take place on May 31 on the Lofoten. In the afternoon of the same day we will have a workshop on the topic:

First experiences with the new Lofotodden National Park, and what could be learned from other protected areas for the further development around the Lofoten (see draft agenda: Workshop Lofoten Draft

 The venue will be the old culture and cinema-house U.L. Lys bøen in Ramberg, in the South of the famous Norwegian fishing islands. Those interested to participate, should at least plan for 4 days and 3 nights (May 30-June 2) to stay in the area. Accommodation is reserved at www.ramberg-gjestegard.no. If you join our meetings just register yourself at Ramberg Gjestegård by sending them an email and referring to LT&C: post@ramberg-gjestegard.no (phone:  +47 76 09 35 00). You can choose there between bringing your own tent, staying in a cabin or book a hotel room.

For those traveling from far, we recommend 2 options to reach Ramberg:

  1. Book a flight to Evenes/Narvik (EVE) arriving there May 29 or May 30 before 10:30 and join us from there traveling with a minibus (costs shared) about 250km along a scenic road to Ramberg, arriving there in the late evening. June 2 we have another sight-seeing tour across the Lofoten and back to Evenes to catch a flight on June 3 or later. For the night May 29 and June 2, accommodation is recommended at Evenes airport hotel or the cheaper Evenes Fjordhotel (contact www.evenesairporthotel.no; email: post@eveneshotell.no ;
    phone: +47-918 54 273 and refer to LT&C reservation).
  2. Fly or drive (also possible by train) to Bodø (BOO) and take there the ferry to Moskenes (from there it is not so far to Ramberg; you either will be picked up there, or rent a car)
