Protect Watt: Advocate for the Wadden Sea

Since 1962, the Schutzstation Wattenmeer is committed to the protection of the Wadden Sea. As an independent environmental organisation, we are engaged to prevent pollution, oil exploration and other threats to the highly valuable German North Sea coast. We support the Wadden Sea National Park by educating hundreds of thousand of tourists every year in our many education centres (see map) and by ways of on-site excursions. Our education work with tourists have played an important role for the establishment and development of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. The Schutzstation Wattenmeer plays in fact the role of an LT&C-Example, and we are happy to make our experience available for other parts of the world and within the LT&C penguin family.
